OUR STORY

Mycelium Materials Europe (in short
MME) started in 2018 and is active in the bio-based materials and circulair economy.
We grow sustainable mycelium materials based on mushroom technology.
We produce two types of organic materials in our own mushroom farm: MyFoam® (pure mycelium foam) and Mycelium Substrates.

Mycelium is the branching underground structure of mushrooms. It grows as tiny threads that form vast networks under the forest floor. With our mycelium substrate technologies the mycelium network functions as glue, presenting you the opportunity to build with fungus.

MYFOAM®

MyFoam® technology offers a supple and foam-like material fully grown from mycelium. MyFoam® can be used to make sustainable leather alternatives and other organic textiles. We are dedicated to growing and harvesting large scale Myfoam materials in our own farm in The Netherlands.

MYCO MATERIALS

Aside from the MyFoam® technology, MME produces large scale mycelium composite materials in two different formulations. Mycelium composite materials can be used to develop biodegradable products and packaging grown from the networks of fungi. Are you a designer, researcher, producer, architect or entrepreneur looking for a natural, biodegradable material to
work with? Then mycelium composite material could be the answer. Find out more by clicking the button below.
